Southcrest

Location

Southcrest is a neighbourhood located in the southwest part of London. Its boundary lines run from Commissioners Road West up to Southcrest Drive/Emery Street, and then from Southwood Crescent to Wharncliffe Road. This neighbourhood is full of families and recently retired couples. It’s just a short and quick drive to the downtown core and is close to Westmount. 

Neighbourhood

Southcrest subdivisions are made up of mature, tree-lined streets and large lots. High rise apartment complexes, single detached homes and some townhouses characterize the properties in this area. Potential buyers will see a wide range of prices, from $150k to upwards of $600k in homes built in the 1970’s straight through to 2017. Southcrest has a fair amount of amenities close by. It’s also just a short drive to the downtown core, which means that incredible restaurants, great nightlife, entertainment, and unique shopping is all just a short distance away. 

Southcrest Park and Ravine, Euston Park, and the Thames River are all in proximity to the neighbourhood. Here, residents have unlimited access to nature trails, green spaces, playgrounds, public pool, baseball diamond and tennis courts etc. The options are endless for outdoor lover in this neighbourhood. 

For home essentials and necessities, Southcrest has plenty of options nearby. Residents can head to Commissioners and Wharncliffe for a great shopping plaza. Here they’ll find No Frills, Dollarama, Shoppers Drug Mart, banks, and restaurants. Continuing down Wharncliffe is auto shops, The Beer Store, Source for Sports, Storm Stayed Brewery, and plenty of restaurants. Another option is heading to Springbank Drive. There residents can find a Giant Tiger, Fatty Patty’s, Strokers Billiards, Fancy Tart, The Springs, and a medical clinic. 

Heading to Wonderland and Commissioners, residents can find Shoppers Drug Mart, Food Basics, UPS Store, Starbucks, The Great Canadian Bagel, Golden City, and more. If that’s not enough, they can head to Westmount Shopping Centre, where there is Cineplex Odeon, banks, a gas station, Superking Supermarket, Bulk Barrel, Kelseys Original Roadhouse, a vet clinic, and more.
